Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day

If its first week was a washout, the Monsoon Session of Parliament resuming on Monday promises a continuation of the stand-off between the Modi government and the Opposition, especially the Congress and the Left Parties.

12: 12 pm: Security forces clarify that the mysterious noise was that of a bullet motorcycle.

12 pm: Parliament on high alert after mysterious noise heard outside Gate number 8, security forces on alert.
