Life term for Mahato, five others

A district court in West Bengal’s Paschim Medinipur district on Tuesday sentenced six persons, including Chhatradhar Mahato, the convener of Maoist-backed People’s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA), to life imprisonment.

They were held guilty of waging war against the State.

The other accused include members of the PCAPA.
