The Zero Landless programme of the present United Democratic Front government was with the motive to derail the tribal resettlement package introduced by the A.K. Antony government a decade back, Adivasi Gothra Mahasabha president C K Janu has said.
The Antony government's plan to compensate for the 30,000 acre of land lost by the tribals has been nullified by the programme introduced by the Oommen Chandy government, she told mediapersons at Thodupuzha on Thursday.
The adivasis who were supposed to get two acres of land were being given three cents under the new porgramme, she said.
Her organisation will organise protest in front of the secretariat against anti-tribal policy of the government, on December 10, she said.
Eight tribal outfits are planning to use Right to Reject votes in the coming Lok Sabha elections, she said.
With regard to the Western Ecology Expert Committee report, she said that Church was opposing its implementation ``on behalf of the mafias'' operating in the State.
The major real estate lobbies are funding the movement against the implementation of the report, she said.
Referring the plan to use the tribal youth to fight the Maoists, she said this was with the aim to sacrifice the life of tribal people in the hands of the Maoists.
