Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists took out a protest march to the Government Medical College here on Tuesday alleging corruption in making the 153 temporary appointments permanent.
The protesters demanded that the appointments be left for the Public Service Commission (PSC). The police blocked the march well ahead of the medical college.
The protesters were arrested and removed when they staged a sit-in on the highway.
