It was a different experience for the residents of Kollangode near here when playback singer K.J. Yesudas joined a team of organic farmers on Saturday in harvesting paddy cultivated in a local field. Before carrying sickle for harvesting paddy, Yesudas exhorted the gathering to say goodbye to pesticides and chemicals while engaging in farm activities.
The harvest festival was organised in a plot owned by organic farmer Radhakrishnan.
Later, Yesudas honoured a select group of organic farmers from across the State. — Special Correspondent
