Workshop on gender justice held

A two-day State-level programme on ‘Gender Justice through Sensitisation’ (GEST) organised by the National Service Scheme in association with the Department of Social Justice has highlighted the need to redefine male-female equations in the society. About 80 students from various technical colleges in the State participated in the workshop held at Sree Rama Government Polytechnic College, Thriprayar, on Saturday and Sunday.

The workshop discussed about the strategies to bring out social justice. Deepa P. Gopinath, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, Coordinator of the GEST programme, T.D. Kuriachan, Teacher, IHRD, Engineering College, Karunagappally, K.C. Santhosh Kumar, social worker and K.S. Roshan, fitness trainer, led the classes. – Staff Reporter
