Works to improve facilities in courts cleared

Minister for Finance and Law K. M. Mani has sanctioned works costing Rs. 12 lakh for improving infrastructure in law courts in the State.

These would include workspace for advocate clerks and basic amenities for litigants in the court premises.

The money has been sanctioned from the Kerala Legal Benefit Fund to cover courts in Thiruvanathapuram, Paravur, Ranni, Kayamkulam, Kattappana, Adimali, Nedumkandam, Ernakulam, Alathur, Thalassery, Payyannur, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, Manjeri, Parappanangadi and Sultan Bathery.

An official release said that the Minister had directed that the works should start urgently. Action would be taken to improve facilities in other courts also.
