A posse of police personnel and a group of Shiv Sena activists waited in vain for hours in the city for ‘Kiss of Love’ agitators on Sunday afternoon.
Reports about ‘Kiss of Love’ agitation in Thrissur has been spreading for almost a week.
Shiv Sena activists with flags and placards waited for the agitators at important junctions, including West Fort and Thekkinkadu Maidan, from afternoon. Many were carrying canes.
Media persons and a large number of police personnel were also present. However, no agitators turned up till evening. The police were questioning men and women who were coming to the city. Later, it was proved that the reports about the agitation were fake.
