Vice-President to visit Kochi tomorrow

Vice-President M. Hamid Ansari will reach the INS Garuda airport at Kochi at 6.10 p.m. on Thursday on a two-day visit of the State.

He will spend the night in the Ernakulam Guest House.

The next morning, he will leave for Kozhikode where he will be the chief guest at the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Social Advancement Foundation of India (SAFI) at 10 a.m. He will dedicate the SAFI academic complex to the nation. Mr. Ansari will be the chief guest at the ‘Sneha sangamam' to be organised in the Corporation Stadium at 11.30 a.m. He will also participate in programmes in the Mahadeva Temple and Miskal Mosque.

Later in Kothamangalam, the Vice-President will inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations of the Mar Athanasius Engineering College at 4 p.m.

He will inaugurate the 97th birthday celebrations of Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer at the High Court Auditorium in Kochi at 10.30 a.m. on November 12. He will return to Delhi by noon.
