Vellithira 2015, the three-day film festival organised by the Paravur Vishwabharati Theatres, will be inaugurated by Rajmohan Unnithan, Chairman of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation, at Paravur Ashok Cine House on June 13.
At the function the senior actor Munshi K.P.S. Kurup will be honoured.
Vishwbharati Theatres president Srikesh Mohan said that eight films would be screened for the festival. On the first day Iranian film Children of Heaven with English subtitles will be screened at 8.30 a.m. After the inaugural function, Malayalam film 101 Chodyangal will be screened.
On June 14, three films will be screened. They are the Turkish film Story Teller (at 8.30 a.m.), Chilean-Spanish film Painting Lesson (10.15 a.m.), and the Malayalam film TD Dasan Std V1 B (12.15 p.m.). The two foreign films will have English subtitles.
The three films to be screened on the final day are the Italian film Bicycle Thieves (8.30 a.m.) with Malayalam subtitles, Iranian film Colour of Paradise (10.30 a.m.) with English subtitles, and the English film The Great Dictator (12 noon) with Malayalam subtitles.
