The anniversary Urus celebrations at the shrine of Khutubuzzaman Sayed Alavi Thangal at Mamburam near Tirurangadi began on Wednesday.
Thousands of people attended a Swalat prayer held at the shrine on Thursday. Kazi of Kozhikode Sayed Mohammed Koya Thangal Jamalullaili led the Swalat.
Panakkad Sayed Abbasali Shihab Thangal will inaugurate a religious lecture series on Friday night. Young scholar Simsarul Haq Hudavi will deliver the lecture.
A dikr congregation will take place on Tuesday. The Urus celebrations will conclude on Wednesday.
