The 11-day festival of Sree Koodalmanikyam Temple, Irinjalakuda, concluded with the arattu (holy dip) of the presiding deity on Sunday. Hundreds of devotes participated in the arattu . The rituals began with palliyunarthal of the deity. The decorated idol was taken in a procession to the Rappal Kadavu for arattu . The police offered guard of hour to the deity at East Nada. After the arattu of the deity devotees took bath in the kadavu. The idol was taken back to the temple accompanied by percussion ensembles and elephants.
