Finance Minister T.M Thomas Isaac on Friday said that his staff member responsible for budget leak is being removed.

Participating in the live budget discussion organised jointly by The Hindu and MediaOne TV channel, Dr. Isaac said it was either a case of the person inadvertently forwarding the document earlier than planned or wrongly assuming that it was alright to send it out to the since the budget speech had begun.

It could be deemed irregular only if he had leaked out the information regarding a taxation proposal before the budget was presented, he pointed out.

Earlier, Opposition members barged into the well of the Kerala Assembly two-and-a-half hours into the budget speech, alleging that the sanctity of the budget had been compromised with its leak through social media and TV channels.
