SKS rally in capital

The Sabarimala Karma Samithi (SKS) will organise a rally of Ayyappa devotees here on January 20.

SKS leader K.P. Sasikala claimed here on Wednesday that over two lakh devotees would take part in it. The rally forms the fifth phase of its ‘Save Sabarimala’ campaign to prevent women of reproductive age from entering the abode of Lord Ayyappa.

Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi would be the chief guest. Leaders of 160 Hindu social organisations would share the dais with her.

Ms. Sasikala said SKS women activists met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought a National Investigation Agency-led inquiry into the ‘treasonous activities’ of the ‘women activists who defiled Sabarimala posing as pilgrims’.

She alleged that some of them were Naxalites who had the support of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The NIA should also bring to light the government’s shady role in misusing the police to escort such ‘non-believers’ to Sabarimala to spite Ayyappa devotees. She said the Prime Minister well understood the tenets of the Ayyappa cult.

Ms. Sasikala said Hindu faith was under threat in Kerala.
