Sinima Talkies — the monthly screening programme of Institute of Advanced study in Education and MAYA — is screening films on Gandhiji on Saturday to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary.

The films will provide an understanding of the man he was and his ideals, according to organisers.

The screening will start with a talk by Jagadeesan, well-known Gandhian and former secretary of Kerala Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi.

The programme will be held from 10a.m. to 5p.m. at the auditorium of Institute of Advanced Study in Education (Govt. Training College, Model Boys School Campus, Palace Road) Thrissur.

Gandhi, directed by Richard Attenborough; Dhaga Mil Gaya/ I Found A Thread directed by Tangella Madhavi; and The Making of Mahatma directed by Shyam Benegal; are the films to be screened during the programme.
