Minister for Tourism A.P. Anil Kumar called upon community leaders to make positive interventions to achieve total immunisation coverage for Malappuram district.

“Our leaders at various levels should convince the communities about the importance of immunisation,” the Minister said, inaugurating the district-level pulse polio administration at Taluk Hospital here on Sunday.

Resisting pulse polio immunisation would be posing a challenge to the future generations, said Mr. Anil Kumar. District Medical Officer V. Ummer Farook welcomed the gathering.

District Mass Media Officer T.M. Gopalan proposed a vote of thanks.

Inaugurating the municipal-level polio vaccine administration at a separate function at Valiyangadi Orphanage here, Malappuram Kazi O.P.M. Sayed Muthukoya Thangal said society was responsible for the health of future generations. Deputy DMO K. Mohammed Ismail presided.
