Reservation wards of the 12 block panchayats in the district have been determined. The wards were selected through draw of lots held by the district administration. The following is the list of reserved wards in various block panchayats.
In Muthukulam block, the wards reserved for women are Cheppad, Evoor, Pullikkanakku, Devikulangara, Kandalloor south, Kandalloor, and Arattupuzha south. The ward reserved for SC is Pathiyoor south.
In Bharanikkavu block, the wards reserved for women are Nooranad, Padanilam, Charummoodu, Kannanakuzhy, Vallikunnam, Manakkad and Kattanam. The ward reserved for SC women is Charummoodu and the ward reserved for SC is Bharanikkavu.
Mavelikara block
In Mavelikara block, wards reserved for women are Mannar, Kuttamperoor, Eravankara, Kurathikad, Puthankulangara, Pallarimangalam and Chettikulangara.
The ward reserved for SC women is Kuttamperoor and the ward reserved for SC is Chennithala.
In Harippad block, Karuvatta north, Cheruthana, Neendoor, Pallipad, Cheruthana Anaari, Kumarapuram, and Thrikkunnapuzha have been reserved for women. Karthikapally ward has been reserved for SC.
In Chengannur, Thiruvanvandoor, Areekkara, Venmony East, Cheruvalloor, Puliyoor, Ennakkad, Budhanoor are the wards reserved for women. Budhanoor ward has been reserved for SC women and Vanavathukkara for SC.
In Veliyanadu block, the wards reserved for women are Naarakathra, Veliyanadu, Kidangara, Mithrakary, Vezhapra, Pulinkunnu and Mankompu. College ward has been reserved for SC.
In Champakkulam block, the wards reserved for women are Naduvilemuri, Thalavadi, Pacha, Thakazhy, Chempumpuram, Champakkulam and Kainakary. The ward reserved for SC is Mankompu Thekkekara.
In Ambalappuzha Block, Aravukad, Vandanam, Ambalappuzha, Thottapally, Karoor, Ambalappuzha government college and Polytechnic wards have been reserved for women. Vadakkal ward has been reserved for SC.
In Aryanad
In Aryad block, the wards reserved for women are Valavanad, Muhamma, Poonthoppu, Charamparampu, Kaithathil, Aikyabharatham and Kattoor. The ward reserved for SC is Mannanchery.
In Kanjikkuzhy block, the wards reserved for women are Kadakkarapally, Kuruppamkulangara, Thanneermukkam, Puthanangadi, Sreekandamangalam, Kanichukulangara and Chennavely.
The ward reserved for SC is Illathukavu.
In Pattanakkadu block, the wards reserved for women are Eramalloor, Chemmanad, Thuravur, Pattanakkadu, Vayalar, Changaram and Ezhupunna. The ward reserved for SC women is Ezhupunna and the ward for SC is Kalavamkodam.
In Thaikkattusserry block, the wards reserved for women are Vazhatharaveli, Poochakkal, Thevarvattom, Makkekkadavu, Thaliyaparambu, Thrichattukulam and Naduvathnagar.
The ward reserved for SC is Arookkutty.
District panchayat
The reserved wards of the Alappuzha district panchayat have also been selected. The following are the reserved wards. The wards reserved for women are Aroor, Pallipuram, Kanjikkuzhy, Aryad, Champakkulam, Bharanikkavu, Krishnapuram, Pathiyoor, Muthukulam, Karuvatta, Vayalar and Manakkodam.
The reserved ward for SC women is Bharanikkavu and that for SC is Poochakkal.
