Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama secretary Ponmala Abdul Khadir Musliar said that those trying to give their own interpretations to the Koran were creating enemies of Islam.

Inaugurating a Ramzan campaign by the Kerala Muslim Jamat at Kottakkal on Sunday, the Musliar said that terrorists and suicide

bombers were the creation of those who had own interpretations of the Koran.

“Salafism is the basis of such people,” he said.

Kerala Muslim Jamat vice president Abdu Haji presided.

District general secretary Mustafa Kodur and finance secretary M. Abdurahman Haji spoke.

Various programmes are being chalked out as part of the month-long campaign.
