Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, MP, is expected to visit the flood and landslip-hit villages in Wayanad district on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. Gandhi will reach the district at 2 p.m. and would visit flood-affected villages in Mananthavady Assembly constituency, District Congress Committee president I. C. Balakrishnan, MLA, said.
Mr. Gandhi would start his two-day programme by visiting a relief camp at Chungam near Thalappuzha and he will disburse relief materials to residents of the camp, Mr. Balakrishnan said.
He would hold a meeting of flood victims and elected local representatives at Makkiyad near Vellamunda at 4.30 p.m. after visiting a flood-affected area at Valad near Thalapuzha.
He would also visit a flood-hit tribal hamlet at Chomadipoyil near Edavaka. Mr. Gandhi would continue his visit and hold local meetings at seven different flood-affected areas in Sulthan Bathery, Kalpetta and Mananthavady Assembly constituencies on the second day on Wednesday, he said.
Mr. Gandhi had made a two-day visit to his constituency which was affected by torrential rain, floods, and landslips recently.
