Bank robbery bid: police grill accused
: The Cherpu police are interrogating two persons, who were held in connection with a bank robbery attempt at the State Bank of Travancore branch at Oorakam, near here, recently.
A vegetable vendor near the bank identified the image of the suspected thief in the CCTV footage.
She identified two of his friends and the police with the help of the local people took them into custody from Oorakam bus stop.
The person in the CCTV footage is still at large.
Meanwhile, the police have been conducting raids on the camps of migrant labourers. — Staff Reporter
