Forest Department officials in Munnar on Thursday arrested one more person in connection with the killing of a wild gaur and recovered the head of the animal killed by the poachers. The arrested was identified as Devikulam estate ODK division resident Micheal Raj, 51. An official said that Micheal Raj was arrested from his house early on Thursday after those who had already been arrested confessed to his role in the killing. Three were arrested on Wednesday and two others are absconding. It was Micheal Raj who had shown the area where the wild gaur was grazing. About 20 kg of meat was also recovered. It is suspected that the gang was involved in poaching in the past also.
