Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash has said that there is no anti-incumbency factor in the State and it was evident in all the elections held after the United Democratic Front (UDF) came to power.
Addressing an election meeting at Labbakada, near Kattappana, on Tuesday, he said the two programmes of the government — development and Karuthal- 2015 — were the main factors put forward by the UDF and it would be reflected in the elections.
Land issue
He said the government was aware of the land issue in Idukki district and it had distributed over 42,000 title deeds. It was an achievement that no previous government could do. The government would also issue two-lakh title deeds before the end of the government’s term.
There were already over two-lakh landless people in the State and they would be given land, he said adding that Kannur was already declared a zero landless district. It was an achievement as it was the district represented by the many ministers and leaders when the LDF government ruled the State.
In the rural areas, more developmental programmes were initiated by the UDF government, he said adding that these factors would be recognised by the people in the election.
