Meet asks for speeding up of Idukki medical college work

A meeting held at the Collectorate on Saturday decided to complete the construction work on the Idukki medical college by December.

This is to facilitate starting of new admissions in the academic year 2018-19.

The review meeting was held in the district after a team comprising Joice George, MP, Roshy Augustine, MLA, and District Collector G.R. Gokul visited the site of the medical college where the construction work is going on.

MCI inspection

It was also decided at the meeting to complete the civil and electrical work at the site before the inspection by the Medical Council of India (MCI) to sanction the admission process, said an official release here on Saturday.
