The police on Saturday arrested a 22-year-old youth and seized six gms of MDMA, a psychotropic drug, from Kurathikad in Alappuzha.
The arrested has been identified as Vivek of Kurathikad.
He was taken into custody from his house in a joint operation carried out by the Kurathikad police and the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force.
The police said the accused had bought 10 gms of MDMA from a Kayamkulam-based quotation gang and was selling the drug to youngsters and students in Kayamkulam, Kurathikad and Vallikunnam between ₹2,000 and ₹5,000 per gm.
