MD held in flat cheating case

Palarivattom Police on Friday arrested Gireesha Kumar, Managing Director of Parthasarathy Properties Pvt Ltd, in connection with a flat cheating case.

Mr. Kumar was arrested for not handing over a flat to a customer despite receiving Rs. 19.6 lakh advance.

The police said the company had promised an apartment in its Agasthya project at Puthiyakavu near Tripunitura.

Mr. Kumar will be produced before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate in the evening. Action against the builder was part of an order by the City Police Commissioner to check cheating cases in the real estate sector.

The Kadavanthra police had on Tuesday arrested Ajay V George, Managing Director of Star Homes Builders and Apartments in connection with Star Homes flat cheating case.
