Manoj murder: CPI(M) leader arrested

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI ) team probing the murder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh functionary E. Manoj at Kathirur in September arrested a local Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader on Wednesday.

CBI sources said that Muchiri Rama alias Ramachandran, who is CPI(M) Patyam local committee member, was arrested when he appeared before the investigating officials.

With his arrest, the total number of the accused arrested so far in the murder case reached 18. Ramachandran is the accused number 12 in the case.
