Man attempts self-immolation

Incident took place following argument with his wife

A 40-year-old man, hailing from Kolavipalam, attempted self-immolation after setting the house on fire on Monday morning.

Anil Kumar, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, was admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

According to the police, the man adopted the extreme step using petrol following an argument with his wife. A car and a motorbike parked in front of the house were gutted in the incident.
