Kochi to host sexology conference

Kochi will host the 31st annual conference of the Council of Sex Education and Parenthood International, India, at the IMA House here on Friday.

Prakash Kothari, noted sexologist, will inaugurate the three-day event. “The focus of the conference is the relationship between sexual and cardiac health. Seminars and discussions will be held on the main theme of the programme,” said Dr. K. Promodu, organising secretary.

Some of the topics to be covered at the event include sexual health policy, sexual health problems and it’s management, need for sexuality education in the society, psychology of sexual crime and violence, problems of sexual minorities, sexuality and media, sexual dysfunctions caused by diabetes, smoking and life style.

A session on sex education in schools will be held on Sunday. About 300 delegates from the country and abroad will attend.
