Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called upon District Collectors to strengthen inter-department coordination.

Addressing a meeting of Collectors and heads of departments here on Wednesday, Mr. Vijayan said that many projects were implemented through local bodies and hence departments should be able to coordinate with panchayats and municipalities.

Projects taken up under the Navakerala Mission should be implemented in a time-bound manner. Collectors should take care to discharge their duties as District Magistrates too, he said.

Care should be taken to provide medical assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the deserving in time.
