Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade here on January 26.
A press release said that the Minister would take the salute and hoist the Tricolour at the ceremonial Republic Day parade at the Parade Ground here on January 26 morning. The rehearsal parades would be held at 3 p.m. on the ground on January 22 and 23. A dress rehearsal would be held at 8 a.m. on January 24. The parade arrangements were reviewed at a meeting chaired by District Collector on Wednesday.
Forty platoons of police, Excise and Jail Departments, National Cadet Corps, Scouts and Guides, Junior Red Cross and the Student Police would take part in the parade. Band troupes of the Defence Security Corps, Army School, and St. Teresa’s School would also join the parade.
