Minister for Rural Development K.C. Joseph has whole-heartedly supported the sentiments expressed by Finance Minister K.M. Mani with regard to leakage of the report of the Vigilance inquiry into the bar bribery case.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Mr. Joseph said neither the government nor the Home Department had received the report. Even then, reports were appearing in the media in the pretext of leaked report. “We need to inquire into the issue,” he said and expressed suspicion that it was the officials who were behind the leakage. However, he cautioned that such developments would affect the credibility of the investigation altogether.
