HC grants more time to VACB

The Kerala High Court on Thursday granted the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) two more weeks to file a statement in response to the petitions filed by State Administrative Reforms Commission chairman V.S Achuthanandan and former Minister K.M Mani challenging the order of a Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance court in the bar bribery case. They had challenged the order on two separate grounds. While Mr. Achuthanandan questioned the directive of the Vigilance court to him, Mr. Mani challenged the decision of the court to allow further investigation in the case.
