Hajis donate ₹25 lakh for flood relief

Pilgrims who performed Haj this year under the supervision of the State Haj Committee donated ₹25 lakh to the State’s flood relief fund.

Haj committee chairman C. Mohammed Faizi handed over the amount to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the latter’s chamber on Wednesday.

Minister in charge of Haj K.T. Jaleel, former Haj committee chairman Thodiyur Mohammed Kunhi Moulavi, Haj committee members H. Muzammil, Kadakkal Abdul Azeez Moulavi and Anas Haji were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister praised the pilgrims for their humanitarian initiative to help their State and its people.
