General body meeting of KC(M) illegal, says Joseph

The Kerala Congress(M) working chairman P.J.Joseph has accused the party MP, Jose K.Mani, of convening an unauthorized

and illegal general body meeting of the party through impersonation.

Addressing the KC(M) district committee meeting here on Sunday, Mr Joseph said, as per the party constitution, the working chairman enjoys full responsibility and power in the absence of the chairman.

Mr Joseph claimed that three of the five KC(M) parliamentary party members were supporting him as party chairman.

Meanwhile, the meeting has elected Victor T.Thomas the new district president of the party.

D.K.John, Kunju Koshy Paul, John K.Mathews, KC(M) high power committee members from the district; Abraham Kalamannil, State general secretary; Varghese Mammen, Thomas Mathew, Bindu Devarajan, party district leaders, were among those who attended the meeting.
