Officials said the detainee, identified as the 24-year old Fayaz Aboobacker of Maliekkal House, Mukkam was charge-sheeted as the fourth accused by the SIT probing the case. After the incident, he had flown to Sharjah from Kochi on November 14th but decided to return on getting a legal advice.

Acting on a tip-off, the immigration officials detained Fayaz as soon as he landed here by a Jet Airways flight at 5.am and handed him over to a police team from Koduvally, waiting outside the airport.

With the arrest of Fayaz, the number of persons arrested in the case has risen to 11.

Bava was beaten up to death by a group of people in Mukkam for visiting a woman with whom he allegedly had an illicit relationship.
