The flash mobs presented by the Election Commission as part of the voter awareness programmes turned out to be a crowd puller at the KSRTC bus stand in Thiruvalla on Sunday.

The students of various educational institutions in Thiruvalla participated in the group dances staged as part of the flash mob.

Dignitaries

Sahadeb Das, general observer of the Election Commission of India, Vinay Goel, Subcollector, and Fr Abraham Mulamoottil, former chairman of the Pushpagiri Medical College, were also present.

The flash mobs have been organised, in association with the Information and Public Relations Department, as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme. Dr. Goel said the flash mobs were a new experience to the people and it could help a lot in spreading the importance of exercising the franchise among the common people, especially the youth.
