Expo adds colour to university arts festival

: A photo exhibition organised by the Postgraduate Department of History, Nehru Arts & Science College, Kanhangad, on the sidelines of the Kannur University arts festival is a big draw. The exhibits, with title and brief narration, have been grouped under three sections —- Cultural Heritage of Kasaragod; Theyyam: Popular Cult of North Malabar; and Renaissance Movement in Kerala.

The first section has 50 photographs of various forts, primitive agricultural implements, and Megalithic sites. As many as 100 Theyyam photos from the collection of Theyyam researcher Nandakumar Koroth have been put up on display. The exhibition will end on March 1.
