The panoramic view of the Kakki, Anathode and Kochu Pampa reservoirs of the Kerala State Electricity Board en route to Gavi, especially in the twilight hours, is quite enchanting.

Gavi is known for its repertoire of wild fauna, especially avian diversity. The forest patch is rich in its diversity of amphibians, reptiles, insects, and plants.

Sighting of wild elephants, gaurs, sambars, bisons, civets, wild boars, Nilgiri marten, barking deers, Nilgiri tahr, Nilgiri langur, crested serpent eagle, great Indian hornbill, brown fish owl, white-bellied fishing eagle, Malabar giant squirrel, skylarks, bulbuls, and many other animals and birds is another tourist attraction in Gavi. Those who are exceptionally lucky can even sight the national animal in this tiger reserve.
