The State government has declared the Best Doctor 2018 awards for doctors in modern medicine.
In Medical Education, R. Chandni, Professor and Head, Emergency Medicine, Government Medical College, Kozhikode, has won the Best Doctor award. In Health Services, the award went to J. Padmalatha, Deputy Director of Health Services and State Leprosy Officer.
In the Medical Insurance Service, George Herald, Insurance Medical Officer, ESI Dispensary, Alappuzha, has won the award while in the autonomous institutions in the health sector category, Director of the Malabar Cancer Centre B. Satheeshan has been named the Best Doctor of 2018.
In the Dental division in State Health Services Department, Simon Morrison, Deputy Director, has been selected for the award while in the private health sector, C.M. Aboobacker, Consultant Paediatrician, Chalappuram, Kozhikode, has won the award.
The awards will be presented at the Doctors’ Day celebrations here on July 1 by Health Minister K.K. Shylaja.
