The Jacobite Syrian Christian Church has demanded implementation of the Malankara Church Bill in order to ensure the right to worship of devotees.

The demand comes in the wake of a meeting of clergy members from across Kerala that was held on Friday at Puthen Cruz near here, wherein the participants expressed dismay at members of the Jacobite faction being meted out a raw deal, including in churches where they were in a majority.

The Cemetery Bill of the government considerably helped members of the community. Similarly, the century-old strife with the Orthodox faction ought to be amicably settled though a similar legislation, demanded Kuriakose Theophilus, Metropolitan and media cell chairman of the church.
