Computer snag holds up bus services

A snag in the computer server used in the electronic ticket machines of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) caused much hardship to passengers on the Mangaluru-Kasaragod-Kannur routes on Saturday. The system developed glitches around 5.30 a.m. on Saturday and nus conductors operating on the Kasaragod-Mangaluru route and the Kasaragod-Kannur stretch were unable to use the electronic ticket machines. The bus services were affected till 10.30 a.m., after which the authorities had to go for the conventional printed ticket rack.
