Revenue Minister K. Rajan has said that steps will be expedited to resolve complex land-related issues in the state.

Inaugurating a Pattaya Mela at Meenangadi in the district on Thursday, Mr. Rajan said land-related issues were mostly being reported from Wayanad and Idukki districts, and that all possible steps would be taken to settle them.

An all-party meeting will be convened in the first week of June to discuss the matter, the Minister said. The policy of the government is to retrieve illegally occupied land and assign land and title deeds to the landless in a time-bound manner, Mr. Rajan said.

As many as 525 title deeds, including 120 possession certificates under the Forest Rights Act, were disbursed to the landless on the occasion. I.C. Balakrishnan, MLA, presided over the function.
