Scoring 671 points when the results position was declared at 5.30 p.m., the Chathannur education sub district continued to maintain the lead on the fourth consecutive day on Thursday of the Kollam revenue district schools arts festival currently under way at Chavara.

The sub district was leading in the upper primary, high school, higher secondary school, Sanskrit (UP) and Sanskrit (HS) categories. Thursday’s result position at 5.30 p.m. showed that in the UP category Veliyam sub-district stood in the second position with 107 points, Karunagapally and Kollam sub-districts with 172 points each in the HS category, and Kottarakara sub-district with 211 points in the HSS category. In the Arabic (UP) category, Chavara sub-district was leading with 65 points and Veliyam sub district close behind with 63 points. In the Arabic (HS) category, Karunagapally sub-district was leading with 90 points and Veliyam and Chavara sub districts with 80 points each in the second position. When it comes to the scores of individual school, the Government UPS Kadakkal, is on top with 30 points followed by EET UPS Velinellur and Little Flower HS, Thripalazhikam, with 28 points each. The festival concludes on Saturday.

Kathaprasangam (UP): Adheena Ashok, Bethen EM UPS, Nallila (first); Arjun R., Saint Mary’s HSS, Kizhakekara, and third position shared by Janaky B.S., Government HSS, Anchal West, and Krishna Anil, Poonkodu HS.

Ottanthullam (UP): Meera Krishnan, Saint Joseph’s Convent Girls HSS, Kollam; Ananthajit S.R., Town UPS, Kottarakara; and Adheena Ashok, Bethel EM UPS, Nallila.

Mrudangam (HSS): Sravan S.R., SM HSS, Kottara, Jishnu J.S., Government HSS, Sadanandapuram and Krishnaprasad G., Saint Aloysius HSS, Kollam.

Arabanamuttu (HSS): Oygan J. and team, Elampallur SNMS HS, Kundara; Muhammed Arfidi B. and team, VV HSS, Poredam, and Asif Khan and team, Government HSS, Punalur.

Kathakali sangeetham (Boys HS): Akshay A.G., NSS HSS, Chathannur; Neeraj C.G., Government HSS, Anchal West, and Harikrishnan U., DNVSS HSS, Poovatur.

Kathakali sangeetham (Girls HS): Karthika N.M., AS HSS, Paripally; Aparna Rajeev, HS for Girls, Karunagapally, and Parvathy B., Nehru Memorial HSS, Kazithakuzhy..
