Minister for Culture, K.C. Joseph will release the book, ‘Thakazhi Jeevitharekha,' brought out by Thakazhy Smaraka Samithi as part of the writer's birth centenary celebrations at the late writer's residence ‘Sankaramangalam' in Thakazhy in the district on March 26.
Thomas Chandy, MLA will preside over. G. Sudhakaran, MLA will deliver the key note address.
District panchayat president, U. Prathibha Hari, block panchayat president, Ramani S. Bhanu and grama panchayat president, E.R. Radhakrishnapillai will participate in the function.
A ‘Thaklazhi literary fest' is also will be organised from April 10 to 17 at ‘Sankaramangalam' as part of birth centenary celebrations.
Literary conferences, exhibitions, cultural programmes and literary contests will be held during this occasion.
