Beedi wins best short play award of akademi

Beedi by the Malayala Kalanilayam Samskarika Vedi, Koothuparamba, has won the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi award for best performance in the short-play competition.

It won a cash award of ₹30,000 and a citation.

Second prize

Oruval by Rangam Natakavedi, Perumbavoor, has secured the second place.

It has won a cash prize of ₹20,000 and a citation.

Jino Joseph ( Beedi ) has won the the best director award and Rafeeq Mangalassery ( Iratta Jeevithangaliloode ) won the award for the best script.

The awards carry a cash prize of ₹20,000 each.

Vinod Naroth, who performed the role of Kammaran in Beedi , has won the best actor award. Sneha who donned the role of Kathreena in Oruval is the best female actor.

Both will get a cash prizes of ₹15,000 each.
