Beedi wins best short play award of akademi

Beedi by the Malayala Kalanilayam Samskarika Vedi, Koothuparamba, has won the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi award for best performance in the short-play competition.

It won a cash award of ₹30,000 and a citation.

Second prize

Oruval by Rangam Natakavedi, Perumbavoor, has secured the second place.

It has won a cash prize of ₹20,000 and a citation.

Jino Joseph (Beedi) has won the the best director award and Rafeeq Mangalassery (Iratta Jeevithangaliloode) won the award for the best script.

The awards carry a cash prize of ₹20,000 each.

Vinod Naroth, who performed the role of Kammaran in Beedi, has won the best actor award. Sneha who donned the role of Kathreena in Oruval is the best female actor.

Both will get a cash prizes of ₹15,000 each.
