An autorickshaw driver Ashokan 55, residing at Lakshminada, was killed in an accident along the Asramam link road on Sunday afternoon.
The police said that he was driving his autorickshaw towards the KSRTC depot through the link road. A KSRTC bus coming from the opposite suddenly took a right turn to enter the Pullikada-Chinnakada road. Seeing the bus turning to the right at full speed, Ashokan quickly applied brakes but the autorickshaw turned turtle and he got crushed under it.
Though he was rushed to the district hospital which is close by, he was declared dead on arrival. The City Traffic Police have registered a case.
