Rs.1 crore for kidney research institute

Kerala Cooperation Minister G.Sudhakaran has announced that the Cooperative Department will release a grant of Rs.1 crore for the development of the National Institute of Kidney Research andTransplantation Centre.

The Minister told reporters here on Friday that the money was being given from the Rs.14 crore provided to the department from the profit of the Navaratna Lottery.

The Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Rs.38-crore Kidney Research and Transplantation Centre Project.
