HC to hear two other pleas against Tharoor’s election

The issues were framed when pleas filed by AAP candidate Ajith Joy and another voter came up for hearing.

The Kerala High Court on Tuesday decided to hear issues raised in two other petitions challenging the election of Shashi Tharoor from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency.

The issues included whether he had held a meeting of pastors of the Pentecost community at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram on April 5, 2014; did the meeting promote communal divisions among electorate; whether Mr.Tharoor had exceeded the limit of expenses permitted by law. The issues were framed when pleas filed by AAP candidate Ajith Joy and another voter came up for hearing.
