Clarify, PDP tells Mullappaly

June 22, 2010 03:16 pm | Updated 03:16 pm IST - Kozhikode:

People's Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary Gafoor Puthuppadi has said that Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran should make clear which all are the organisations in Kerala that have connections with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.

Addressing a press meet here on Monday, the PDP leader said the Minister's recent statement to that effect would only help to leave certain sections of society in the shade of suspicion. “If there is any organisation or people who have such connections, they should immediately be brought to book and no traitors should be left scot-free.” A vague statement would only cause damage to the social fabric of the State.

Alleging that a ‘hideous conspiracy' was on to ‘persecute and irradiate' Mr. Maudany, he said the PDP leader was falsely implicated in the Bangalore serial blasts case. The PDP and the recently formed Maudany Samrakshana Samara Samithy would go ahead with their sathyagraha until steps were taken by authorities to stop ‘hounding' the leader.
