The Assembly will meet from June 28, mainly for considering the budgetary demands.
The Cabinet on Wednesday recommended to the governor the convening of the Assembly.
The Budget session of the House, held in February and March this year, undertook only a general discussion on the Budget, and passed a vote on account for the first four months of the financial year. The forthcoming session will consider the full budgetary demands for grants. It will also be taking up a few bills besides other business. The session is likely to continue until the end of July.
The Cabinet decision on convening of the Assembly was delayed as some of the Ordinances approved by the Cabinet last week was awaiting assent of the Governor. So, the normal notice period for convening of the Assembly would have to be cut-short.
